Zooming Ahead with Pride
Military Aircraft Parts (MAP) has successfully delivered its 1000th order.
MAP got its 1000th New Job Order
MAP recently celebrated the award of its 1000th new part order. Since opening its doors for business in 2002, 1000 different assemblies have been ordered throughout the years, many repeatedly. MAP prides itself as a supplier of complex components and a prime contractor for many of the US Military’s most difficult to manufacture parts. Pizza was enjoyed by all and a piece from Job number one was brought out to marvel at.
MAP acquired C-5 Logistic Floor Rails order
MAP has been awarded $400k in Logistic Floor Rail orders for use on the C-5 Galaxy, the largest military aircraft in the world. The rails are an integral part of the plane’s rollerized conveyor system and require tight tolerance machining coupled with precision gun drilled hinge pin holes up to 8 feet in length…a tall order for most machine shops.
MAP includes EDM in its machinery list
MAP just purchased a Charles/Charmilles wire EDM machine capable of machining gear patterns and other complex shapes inside metal materials with an accuracy +/-.0001”.
MAP purchased New Mitutoyo Optical Comparator
MAP recently purchased a brand new Mitutoyo PH-3515 optical comparator . The system includes a QM-Data 200 geometry calculation system which provides automatic identification of measured features. The system improves highly magnified optical images of inspected parts and allows for quick and accurate measurement of difficult to view features.
Upgradation of CMM Manager Software
MAP recently upgraded its CMM to utilize state of the art CMM Manager software. The program allows for quick inspection of complex and hard to measure surfaces and provides accurate and reliable presentation of inspection data for measurements and reverse engineering.
